About the Club
The club was formed in 1979 and has produced many fine riders over the years. We have had members successfully gain their higher pony club certificates and represented Canterbury Area in teams events. Some of them have also continued on to success at higher levels after leaving pony club the most notable being Olympian Tim Price. Oxford has also been successful in teams events such as Springston Trophy over the years.
We are a friendly country club, with excellent facilities and equipment. Our new grounds at Carleton Domain (Bennetts), is now our permanent home with a new large all weather sand arena and plenty of space for our club to grow. We also have a cross country course at Birchhill Station in nearby Glentui. We welcome new members of all levels.
